2. All prices are FOB factory, Brooklyn, N.Y., except for cast iron basins
and fiberglass basins.
3. BASIC VSP UNITS, as prices above, include:
Single Unit: One pump and motor on suspension plate plus one pedestal
mounted float switch.
Duplex Unit: Two pumps and motors on individual suspension plates plus
two pedestal mounted float switches.

OVERLOAD PROTECTION
The following motors are furnished as standard with built-in thermal overload
protection and do not require magnetic starters for protections
3/4 HP - 1750 RPM - Single Phase - and smaller
1/2 HP - 1150 RPM - Single Phase - and smaller
Larger Single Phase motors as well as All Three Phase motors (plus
most motors in totally enclosed and explosion-proof housings are furnished
without built-in protection and, therefore, require magnetic starters for
protection.
PIT DEPTH ADDITIONS
When the pit in which the VSP pumps are to be set is deeper than the standard
4-ft. depth, see the following table for list price additions and shipping
weight additions to the basic VSP unit list prices shown on page VSP-1.

the suspension plate, including leg and discharge pipe plus stainless steel
shaft, price the basic 4-ft. Unit, then make the including leg and discharge

SOLENOID OPERATED WATER FLUSH FOR BEARINGS:
When the water being pumped contains abrasive material or is of a high
temperature, cold clear water should be introduced into the pump bearing at a
pressure higher than the operating pressure of the pump. The following list
prices apply, per pump, for adding an integrally mounted solenoid
flush valve (1/2" 115V) on the pump suspension plate with a copper flush
line to each bearing (the price addition shown includes a packing gland
for each pump). The flush valve is to be wired to the magnetic starter coil or T
connections.
Lower pump bearing only --- $1314
Lower pump bearing plus one intermediate bearing --- 1494
Lower pump bearing plus two intermediate bearings --- 1674
UNDERCOVER TEE DISCHARGE:
Add to basic list prices for substituting Tee Type discharge connection
between pump casing and pump suspension plate and capping off the top of the
discharge pipe.

EXPORT BOXING:
Add 2% of the equipment list price to the equipment list price, to cover
export boxing. List prices of features which do not effect the size of the box
(such as st. st. shafts, bronze impellers, etc.) are not included in calculating
the 2% list price addition for export boxing.

PACKING GLANDS:
Standard VSP pumps have vapor seals where the shaft passes through the
suspension plate. Substitute packing gland for this vapor seal, make the
