1. The above list prices include non-clog pump close-coupled to a submersible motor. 
Motors have 25-ft. water-proof cables (except VSS-2P & 3P motors, which have- 20-ft. cables).

MOISTURE DETECTION:
The VSS motor can be furnished with two electrodes in the seal chamber to detect the presence of water in the seal chamber. Add per motor $285 If these electrodes are to be furnished, add for the required relay in the SBS controller or, if an SBS controller is not being used, add a moisture detection relay for each pump.

VSS MOTORS FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION IN AIR:
'Continuous operation in air' as defined by NEMA mean that a motor must be capable of producing the full load rated torque for a specific horsepower continuously in air. If a VSS motor is running continuously in air on a VSS type pumps, then the wet well in which the pump is installed must be fully drawn down and the motor, at such a time, is running at no load.

VSS motors are rated for 15 minutes duty in air at nameplate horsepower, and continuous duty in air at a reduced load. This 15 minute rating is generally far more than necessary to draw down the water level from the top of the motor to the bottom of the volute. It is only during this period that the motor is operating at a load condition and that all or part of the motor is 'in air'. However, if the very unusual situation should occur where a motor is required to be rated for continuous operation in air at full load, such a motor can be furnished. VSS MOTORS FOR HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES:
VSS motors are designed to operate in liquids of up to 104°F (40°C). Insulation and seal components of the standard VSS motors can be modified for operation in liquids with temperatures up to 194°F (90°C). Refer to ABC Electric Corp for pricing information on this modification.

ALL-BRONZE PUMP ENDS:
Make the following list price additions to the standard unit list prices to cover all-bronze pump ends (does not include motor housing which remains cast iron). No weight addition is required.

STAINLESS STEEL FASTENERS:
To add for stainless steel exterior fasteners for pump end add $210 list per pump.

LONGER CABLES:
For cable lengths longer than standard, add $30 list per motor per foot for extra cable length required.

BRONZE IMPELLERS:
In lieu of the standard cast iron impeller. Price covers impeller for one pump. Double the addition for a duplex unit.
