BASIC UNIT LIST PRICES:
Basic VSA units, as priced above, include:
Single Unit: One pump and motor on a suspension plate, plus one pedestal mounted float switch.
Duplex Unit: Two pumps and motors on individual suspension plates, plus two pedestal mounted float switches.
All prices are FOB Factory, except cast iron basins and fiberglass basins. Refer to ABC Electric Corp. for 870 R.P.M. pump selections.

OVERLOAD PROTECTION:
The following motors are furnished as standard with built-in overload protection and do not necessarily require magnetic starters to provide such protection:
3/4 HP, 1750 RPM, single phase, and smaller.
1/2 HP, 1150 RPM, single phase, and smaller.
Larger single phase motors as well as all three phase motors are furnished without built-in overload protection and, therefore, require magnetic starters.

PIT DEPTH ADDITIONS:
When the pit in which the VSA pumps are to be set is deeper than 5-feet, make the following list price additions and shipping weight additions to the basic VSA unit list prices and weights shown on Page VSA-1:

STAINLESS STEEL SHAFTS:
Add the following to the basic unit list prices for substituting stainless steel shafts (of the grades shown below) for the standard steel shafts:

BRONZE IMPELLERS:
Add to the basic unit list prices for substituting bronze impellers for the standard cast iron impellers: VSA-4C,5C,6C

UNDER-COVER DISCHARGE:
Add to the basic unit list prices for substituting a 'tee' type discharge connection in the discharge pipe between the pump volute and the suspension plate.

EXPORT BOXING:
Add 2% of the equipment list price to the equipment list price to cover export boxing. List prices of features which do not effect the size of the box (such as st.st. shaft, etc.) need not be included in calculating the 2% addition.

SOLENOID OPERATED WATER FLUSH FOR BEARINGS: 
See Section 3, VSP price sheets.

MOUNTING AND WIRING OF MOTOR CONTROLS ON FLOAT SWITCH PEDESTALS:
These prices include wiring the starter to the float switch and the disconnect switch to the starter. Prices of the starter(s) and disconnect switch (es) are not included and must be added separately. (Note: These mounting and wiring charges apply for motors rated 7½ HP and less. For larger HP ratings, use floor panels. 

NON-STANDARD DISCHARGE SIZES:
These list price additions should be added to the basic unit list prices on Page VSA-1, if applicable. They apply for pumps built for pit 14-ft. deep or less. (For pits 14'6" thru 20' deep, multiply the list price addition by 1.5).

PACKING GLAND:
Standard VSA pumps have vapor seals (Part No. 49) where the shaft passes through the suspension plate. To substitute a packing gland for this vapor seal, make the following list price additions:

SPECIAL DISCHARGE PIPES:

FLOAT GUIDE PIPES:
8" PVC float guide pipes, flanged to the pit cover and extending to within 12" of the bottom of the pit. Prices shown cover a guide pipe for one float switch. Multiply by the number of float switches in use.

STEEL PIT COVERS:
COVERS FOR CONCRETE PITS ARE LARGER THAN THE PIT SO THAT THEY OVERLAP THE PIT EDGES. PRICES APPLY TO COVERS FOR ALL SUMP PUMPS AND SEWAGE EJECTORS. HOWEVER, NOT ALL COVER SIZES ARE APPLICABLE TO ALL PUMPS. SEE BULLETINS FOR MINIMUM PIT SIZE REQUIRED FOR SPECIFIED PUMP.

LIST PRICE of cast iron basin includes a steel cover (gastight for sewage ejectors), with openings for pumps, controls, vent connection and manhole with cast iron manhole cover (handhole is substituted where space is limited).

FREIGHT RATES:
Cast iron sump and sewage basins are shipped from the foundry directly to the jobsite. Use the applicable shipping charge shown on Sec. 8, Page X-27.

INLETS:
The standard inlet connection is an outside caulking hub (Style A). Inside caulking hubs (Style D), combination hubs and threaded connections (Style B), and threaded connections (Style C) are also available without a price addition. The basin list price includes up to three inlet connections (8" and smaller). For each inlet connection in excess of three, add $45 list per connection. For inlet connections larger than 8", consult ABC Electric Corp.

FLANGES:
The standard cast iron basin has a flat outside top flange and flat outside mating flanges (when the basin is built in two or more sections). Outside cup flanges and inside flat flanges are also available, but require price additions. Consult ABC Electric Corp for price additions for these modifications.

MINIMUM BASIN SIZES:
See the applicable pump bulletin for the minimum basin diameter recommended for specific pump sizes (simplex units and duplex units). In some cases, pumps can be fitted into basins of smaller diameter than the recommended minimum. Refer to ABC Electric for details.

NON-STANDARD DEPTHS:
Cast iron basins are available in non-standard depths. Use the price and weight of the next deeper 6" increment.

NON-STANDARD NUMBER OF SECTIONS:
Cast iron basins can be ordered with a non-standard number of sections. Consult ABC Electric Corp. for pricing of this modification.

FED-FLUSH SEWAGE EJECTORS:
Standard prices shown below apply to basins for use with Fed-Flush units. The inlet adaptor pad is provided at no additional cost. See the Fed-Flush bulletin for minimum basin diameters and depths.

NON-STANDARD BASIN DIAMETERS:
Cast iron basins with diameters other than those shown below are not available.

INLET LOCATION:
The location of the inlet centerline is guaranteed by the foundry to the nearest inch.

BASIN COATING:
All cast iron basins are sprayed at the foundry with one coat of black asphaltum. Consult ABC Electric Corp. for information concerning non-standard coatings.

DIMENSIONS:
Wall thickness of cast iron basins is approximately 1/2". Nominal basin diameter is the inside diameter of the basin. Therefore, the outside diameter of the basin is approximately one inch greater than the nominal diameter.

THRU-WALL DISCHARGE:
If the discharges of a duplex pump set are wyed together inside the basin, and the single discharge line is to pass thru the basin wall, order the next larger size inlet connection for the discharge pipe so that the hole in the basin wall will be large enough to pass the o.d. of the discharge pipe. If two parallel discharge pipes are to pass thru the basin wall, consult ABC Electric Corp. for the applicable price addition.
