NOTES:
The list price additions for totally enclosed and explosion proof motors should be added to the list price of the standard unit, which includes standard dripproof motors. The additions shown cover one motor; double the additions for duplex units.

The following units are not available with T.E. or E.P. motors: ALTV, MC-1, MMC-l.

E.P. single phase fractional H.P. motors do not include built-in thermal overload protection.

STARTERS:
When a Federal Pump price sheet indicates that a basic unit list price includes a magnetic starter, this standard starter will be furnished in a NEMA-1 general purpose enclosure. Non-standard enclosures are also available as follows:
NEMA Type 1 (General Purpose) = standard indoor use.
NEMA Type 2 (Driptight) = excludes falling moisture and dirt (indoor use).
NEMA Type 3 (Weatherproof) = general outdoor use.
NEMA Type 3R (Raintight) = excludes beating rain, sleet and ice formation (outdoor use).
NEMA Type 4 (Watertight) = excludes hose-directed water (indoor and outdoor use). Sheet steel or stainless steel enclosures.
NEMA Type 4X (Watertight) = excludes hose-directed water (indoor and outdoor use). Non-metallic polyester enclosures.
NEMA Type 7 (Explosion-proof) = for indoor hazardous gas locations (Class I, Group C & D).
NEMA Type 9 (Explosion-proof) = for indoor hazardous dust locations (Class II, Groups E, F & G).
NEMA Type 12 (Industrial Use) = excludes dripping liquids, falling dirt and dust (indoor use).
NEMA Type 13 (Spraytight) = provides dust and spray protection (indoor use).

NOTE: Magnetic starters, combination starters, manual starters, starter modifications and disconnect switches in NEMA-1, 4, 7, 9 and 12 enclosures are included in the VSA price page in Section 4.

WATERTIGHT AND EXPLOSION-PROOF WIRING:
The list price additions shown below cover the interconnecting wiring between the motors, switches and starters. Also make the necessary list price additions for T.E. or E.P. motors and NEMA-4 or NEMA-7&9 float switches and starters. These list price additions apply to units whose basic list prices include standard wiring. For other units, make the list price addition for standard wiring before making the list price additions shown below:

FLOAT SWITCHES:
Add the following list prices to the basic pump and motor unit list prices for NEMA-4 or NEMA-7&9 float switches. For duplex units, make the list price additions shown below after first making the applicable list price additions for alternating float switch or alternating plus auxiliary float switch.

* These prices cover the full list price of pedestal mounted NEMA-4 or NEMA-7&9 float switches, since no float switches are included in the basic unit list prices. All other prices shown below are list price additions over the list price of the standard NEMA-1 float switches included in the basic unit. list prices.
