FED-FLUSH INLET ADAPTORS:
When a steel basin, cast iron basin or fiberglass basin is ordered for use
with a VSSF or VSSF-QD Fed-Flush unit, the basin is furnished with an
integral Fed-Flush inlet adaptor at no price addition.
When a steel cover and grouting frame or hinged access door for a concrete
pit is ordered for use with a VSSF or VSSF-QD Fed-Flush unit, a separate
Fed-Flush inlet adaptor with integral caulking hub is furnished at no price
addition. To fabricate this inlet adaptor/caulking hub, the following
information is required:
-Thickness of concrete pit wall.
-Inlet pipe size.
-Distance down from top of pit to inlet centerline.
-Depth of pit.
-If inlet is not on the vertical centerline of the pit wall.
MOISTURE DETECTION:
The VSS motor can be furnished with two electrodes in the seal chamber to
detect the presence of water in the seal chamber. Add per motor
--- $285
If these electrodes are to be furnished, add for the required relay in the SBS
controller or, if an SBS controller is not being used, add a moisture detection
relay for each pump.

THERMAL SENSORS:
To add thermal sensors in the motor windings to sense thermal overload in

Note: If these sensors are to be furnished, add for the required relay in the
SBS controller or other controller being used.

QD GUIDE RAILS:
The guide rails for the VSSF-QD pump is a 4'x4' wide-flange H-beam. It is
generally furnished by the contractor. One rail is required for each pump. Thus,
two rails are required for a duplex pump set. (When rails are furnished locally,
they should be cut 2-1/2" shorter than the pit depth.)
If rails are purchased with the pumps, the following applies:
List price per rail per foot of pit depth --- $90
Shipping weight per rail per font of pit depth --- 20#
