List Prices

MOTOR PROTECTION:
All 1-phase motors up to and including 3/4 HP 1750 RPM and 1 HP 3450 RPM are equipped with built-in overload protection. Therefore, magnetic starters are not furnished as standard equipment on these units, and the float switches are factory wired directly to the motors.

3-phase units in all HP's and 1-phase units in HP's larger than those stated above are furnished with magnetic starters, factory mounted and wired on the unit, to the motors and float switches, to provide overload protection for the motors. 

RV PUMPS ONLY AND PUMP & MOTOR UNITS:
The following list prices and weights apply to RV pumps only (with coupling). Motor, float switch and receiver are not included in these prices. To price a pump and motor unit, use the list price shown below plus the motor list price from Sec.8, Pages X-37 and X-38.

PACKING GLANDS:
To substitute an adjustable packing gland in the motor pedestal of the pump in lieu of the standard vapor seal, make the following list price addition per pump (double for a duplex unit). The same list price addition applies to all pump codes.      ------      $486

RV UNITS WITH STEEL RECEIVERS:
All standard RV unit list prices include a cast iron basin (receiver). RV units are also available with steel basins. To arrive at a list price for a unit with a steel basin, start with the standard unit list price and then deduct the list price (and weight) differential of the applicable cast iron basin and steel basin as shown in Sec.4 on the VSA price pages. 

MANHOLES:
Manholes and handholes are not available on RV units. RV pumps are individually removable from the basin. RV float switches are furnished on removal plates for easy removal fro the basin for float adjustment. 

HIGH WATER ALARMS:
A high water alarm signal can be provided by a compression tube actuator, a float switch actuator or an alarm contact in am alternating float switch. If an audible and/or visual indication is also required, add for an alarm bell (and alarm panel with light and silencer button, if needed), plus the following list prices for mounting and wiring on the unit:

BASINS DEEPER THAN STANDARD:
RV units with basins 48" deep or less are shipped assembled with all controls mounted and wired on the unit at the factory. RV units with basins deeper than 48" are shipped unassembled (similar to sump pump units). For these unassembled units, the applicable mounting and wiring deductions can be used since controls must be mounted and wired on the jobsite. When Type D control panels or combination starters are mounted and wired, the unit may be too tall for shipment in a standard truck (RV units must be sipped standing up), and the panel or starters may have to be removed after assembly and then reinstalled on the jobsite. 

NON-STANDARD SUSPENSION PLATES:
The standard suspension plate for the RV Code A pump is 14" O.D. However, for a Duplex unit in a 24" diameter basin, the RV Code A pumps are built on special 12-1/2" O.D. suspension plates. 

NON-STANDARD TANK SIZES:
RV units can be furnished with tank sizes other than those shown on the standard unit list price pages. To figure the price of a unit with a non-standard tank size, use the list prices shown in Section 4, on the VSA price pages. Deduct the list prices of the standard cast iron tank and then add the list price of the required cast iron (or steel) tank. Also make the shipping weight deduction and addition. 

If the tank depth is increased, check above under the heading "RV PUMPS ONLY AND PUMP & MOTOR UNITS", to see if a list price differential must be added for the longer pumps. If the required tank depth calls for the pump(s) to have one or more intermediate bearings, then a list price differential (double for duplex units) must be added. 

ALTERNATORS FOR DUPLEX UNITS:
(1) Alternating float switch in lieu of the two (2) standard float switches. This device includes two (2) switches in a single enclosure operated by one (1) float and rod, providing automatic alternation plus 2-pump simultaneous operation, when required      ------      Deduct $423

(1) Alternating float switch (as described above) plus one (1) 2-pole auxiliary float switch to provide 2-pump emergency operation when the alternating float switch is inoperative. (Not all basin diameters are large enough to accommodate two float switches.)      ------      Add $423

(1) Electric alternator in a separate NEMA-1 enclosure, mounted and wired on the unit, to perform the same functions as the alternating float switch described above. The electric alternator requires two standard float switches and two magnetic starters for proper operation.      ------      Add $1638

EXPORT BOXING:
Add 2% of the equipment list price to the equipment list price, to cover export boxing. List prices of features which do not effect the size of the box (such as totally enclosed motor additions, etc.) are not included in calculating the 2% addition. 

DELETING MAGNETIC STARTERS AND/OR WIRING:
To delete the wiring on units without magnetic starters, use the list price deductions shown below. To delete the magnetic starters and wiring on units that have magnetic starters as standard equipment, delete the price of the magnetic starter(s) plus the deductions shown below. 

SPACE LIMITATIONS OF BASIN COVERS:
The following table indicates the maximum number of float switches that can be fit into the basin covers. A float switch can be either a pump control float switch, and alternating float switch, an auxiliary float switch or a high water alarm float switch.
